This week, Multicultural Health Foundation was recognized as the 2021 Nonprofit of the Year. FDA approves the Pfizer Vaccine. Learn more about the recent discussion on the COVID booster shot. FDA Approves the Pfizer Vaccine

The FDA’s approval of this vaccine is a milestone as we continue to battle the COVID-19 pandemic.  The widely anticipated decision replaces the emergency use authorization granted by the agency last December.

While this and other vaccines have met the FDA’s rigorous, scientific standards for emergency use authorization, as the first FDA-approved COVID-19 vaccine, the public can be very confident that this vaccine meets the high standards for safety, effectiveness, and manufacturing quality.

Meet us at Walmart stores across San Diego County

1:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m The Multicultural Health Foundation will be partnering with seven different Walmart Stores near you answering questions and providing guidance on how to stay safe and informed about COVID-19.

Free Movie tickets will be given to the first 10 people to get vaccinated at each of the participating stores ALL WEEKEND LONG!

Saturday, August 28th from 10 am to 3 pm at Encore Event Center: 8253 Ronson Road, San Diego, CA 92111

Receive free swag from Together Against COVID – including hand sanitizers and face masks! Free Vaccinations will be provided also by Champions for Health! Admission $2

We will also be handing out vouchers for world premier play of The Garden happening September 21 to October 17.

Vaccinations at the Community Health & STEM Festival

When: August 28 from 9:00 a.m - 3:00 p.m

Where: Civita Park

Family-friendly interactive event co-hosted by San Diego Black Professionals and the National Society of Black Engineers Professionals in partnership with Black Tech Link. Booster Shots are on Their Way

The Center of Disease Control and Prevention has developed a plan to begin offering booster shots subject to FDA conducting an independent evaluation and determination of the safety and effectiveness of a third dose of the vaccine.

Those with autoimmune diseases, in nursing home residents, and health care workers are the first in get booster shots, followed by other older people who were vaccinated last winter. The booster shot won't be available to the general population until down the road after the Immunocompromised and senior/nursing home patients get it.
